Taking a bite out of NYC

Likely the only thing I love more than community and collaboration, is travel. So when I get to combine those passions I become like a kid on Christmas morning. Seriously though. If high-energy girlie squeals are not your thing... you'd best never plan to adventure with me. However, you'd then be missing out. BIG TIME.

Earlier in May saw me embarking upon another GCUC trip - this time in New York City. It had been 9 or so years since my last time in the Big Apple. Long overdue!

Reunited with my coworking homies and meeting a pile of wonderful new faces was amazing. We toured a pile of local coworking spaces and I even took advantage of a killer deal (for NYC standards, anyway) coliving. Plus, my mother and sister Janice joined in on the fun for part of the trip as well.

My non-conference highlights? The Moth / Women of the World Festival (and yes, this sentimental softie cried upon seeing the Apollo Theater sign), being wildly uncomfortable at the fabulous performance of Sleep No More, and my sister's birthday celebration dinner at The Spotted Pig.

Check out some of the photo highlights. What do you love most about NYC (or travel in general)? Leave a comment below.
